Hurunui River Holiday Retreat is located about 6km along Hurunui Bluff Road from the State Highway 7 turn off at the south end of the Hurunui River bridge.

The Hurunui River Bridge is about 1km north of the Hurunui Hotel on the main highway between Waipara and Hamner Springs.
